James Forbes is a photographer and design director based in Dallas. He shoots a diverse range of subjects both digitally and on vintage film cameras.

Sometime in the early 1980's at the age of 5, I was handed a Polaroid camera by my father who wanted to see what photos would look like taken from a child's perspective. From that point forward, I have always had a passion for photography. As time went on, those same polaroids would fade and bring a nostalgic quality that would eventually become a primary influence to my photography today. Currently, I’m a Dallas based UX/Design Director and recently decided to rekindle that passion for photography. Specializing in portraits and landscape photography, I shoot mostly outdoors and in natural light. I still make it a point to bring out some old film cameras including a 1960's Hasselblad and of course, a Polaroid, to instill that sentimental mood into the imagery that influenced me years ago.
